Common problems and maintenance methods of die casting die



Die casting mold is widely used in furniture accessories, architectural decoration, electronic and digital accessories, bathroom accessories, lighting accessories, luggage accessories, all kinds of metal buckle and other industries. Different surface treatment processes require different surface quality of castings and good surface treatment performance. The common defect of die casting mold is surface bubbling. 

 Surface foam characteristics: surface foam of die casting billet, polishing or foam processing after die casting, oil injection or electroplating after die casting surface treatment. Cause: 

 Small bubbles appeared on the surface layer of aluminum billet, and the abrasive tool was thrown out early; 2. High temperature when abrasive tool is thrown out; 3. The design of abrasive flow channel is not scientific and the water flow is not smooth. Due to the existence of a large number of bubbles in the process of die casting, when the metal solidification time is not enough, the strength is not certain enough, but the die casting mold is too early to open the top of the casting, compressed air bubble expansion makes the surface of the casting bulge, resulting in thermal cracks. Common solutions: adjust the die casting process parameters, extend the mold retention time, reduce the mold temperature in the defect area, and improve the design of the feed channel.
